愛爾蘭格鬥名將麥克格雷（Conor McGregor）最近成為美國總統川普（Donald Trump）口中的英雄，並稱麥克格雷是他自己最為欣賞的愛爾蘭人，川普同時還封他是格鬥界的史上最佳（Greatest of All Time，GOAT）運動員！

川普在白宮與愛爾蘭總理馬丁（ Micheal Martin）會面時，川普主動提起愛爾蘭UFC格鬥名將麥克格雷，川普說：「我的確很喜歡你的鬥士，他的紋身是我見過的最漂亮的圖案」

事實上，「嘴跑拳王」麥克格雷與川普可說是惺惺相惜，去年7月，川普在競選活動中遭到槍擊，麥克格雷公開對川普表達支持，麥克格雷當時說：「作為一位 78 歲的億萬富翁，他應該乘坐遊艇去地中海打高爾夫，但他沒有這樣做，而是在美國賓州四處奔走！他為祖國而戰！上帝保佑川普！上帝保佑美國！」今年1月，麥克格雷受邀參加川普就職典禮。
